Okay so I admit it, I am a conservation area junkie. This summer we are spending most of our free time hitting the conservation areas in our region. Once I get on the trails I feel so at peace, I think it is probably the only time I can say I feel totally peaceful within.

So since saturday was such a beautiful day, when Alan discovered another one close to home we decided to check it out. Well according to the map it looked much larger than it really was and it also showed a swimming hole. However, you would never catch me in that hole. LOL The park itself was gorgeous, with well maintained trails, campgrounds, playgrounds, picnic areas and fabulous ponds. I was intrigued by the number of children who were fishing. We had a wonderful day so I just had to scrap about it naturally

Sunday afternoon saw us heading to the fabulous Two Creeks Conservation Area in Wheatley. What a surprise it was to find that not only was it free admission but it was also the nicest one we have used so far this summer as well. We spent over 2 and a half hours on the trails there without realizing we had been so long before we returned to the vehicle. It has numerous trails, too many to cover in one day so for sure we would have to return to do the trails we missed but I have to go back again later anyway because many of the plants were just starting to bud so I want to get photos with them in full bloom. For the camper, this area doesn’t have anything to offer though, just the trails and a nice picnic area. Still have to get my gadzillion photos printed for this day trip.
